The Sensatori Mexico resort is a five star, 24 hour gourmet inclusive hotel which is exclusive to Thomson in the UK. The Sensatori Mexico is located on a beach front in Bahia Petempich, Riveria Maya, 25 minutes from Cancun and 35 minutes from Playa del Carmen.

The 24 hour gourmet inclusive package means you can eat in all of the six restaurants, have 24 hour room service, drinks from all of the bars and most activities free of charge unless otherwise stated.

Sensatori Mexico – Rooms

As the focus of the Sensatori Mexico is pure indulgence the rooms have everything you could possibly imagine.

Junior suites with king sized beds in the adults only section come as standard. These suites feature wine and fruit on arrival, hot tubs and high tech extras such as widescreen TV’s, iPod docking systems and DVD players. If you want a breathtaking addition to your room you can upgrade to the swim up option where you will have private pool access at the end of your balcony. For true indulgence you can upgrade to a premium suite which have a whirlpool bath connected to the river and supplied with fresh towels, magazines and snacks at the pool throughout the day.

Families can upgrade to a Family suite so you have plenty of room for everyone with additional privacy. These sleep up to 2 adults and 3 children.

Things To Do

The spa facilities of the Sensatori Mexico are not to be missed. There are a variety of treatment rooms which even includes a bridal suite for those getting married at the resort and need some pre wedding pampering. For romantic getaways, couples can enjoy treatments together in a room with ocean views. There are even mini treatments available for children whilst their parents are in the Spa. All spa treatments are available at an additional cost.

Keeping active at the Sensatori is easy with the gym and wide range of activities available these include team sports, kayaking in the ocean and outdoor Yoga to revitalize whilst enjoying the weather.

There is also a selection of possibly the most important feature of a holiday – the pools! The pools are spread around the resort so you are never far away from a dip in the water. Children have their own pool, part of which is a mini water park with lots of fun activities, slides, splashing and spraying water. There is of course an adults only pool with a swim up bar for those wanting to relax quietly on the in water sunbeds and swim across for drinks.

Children are catered for in all aspects of the hotel, from activities to pools there is something for every child to enjoy. If you have a baby there is no need to attempt to pack and travel with all your equipment as the Sensatori can supply you when you arrive, the package includes pushchairs, sterilisers and other baby essentials.

Keeping your child entertained throughout the holiday typically can be difficult but that isn’t a problem at the Sensatori Mexico. There is a children’s club for children 4 years + and a teen club for teens who want to do something cool in a modern room with DJ booth, cinema screen and a place to socialise.

The adult entertainment scene at the Sensatori is more reserved than what can be found at other resorts as there are so many other facilities to enjoy. If you are looking for entertainment though, pay a visit the Roof Garden Lounge for an evening show.

There’s also mini-golf as well as an enthusiastic entertainment team organising things like water volleyball and football on the beach.

I can’t understand why people pay more for five star. Don’t be scared to go to the Cancun “downtown” area – it’s the real Cancun and I got my haircut for like 50p and you can also go in the supermarkets. There is a bull ring but we didn’t go in there.”
